For a long time, I’ve wanted a monitor that offers maximum ergonomic height: spanning from the desk surface all the way up to eye level. A spacious 2,160 vertical pixels (non-Retina) instead of just 1,440. However, since my external Apple keyboard and trackpad broke, I’ve been using the MacBook itself for input—and unfortunately, its screen can’t be folded flat down onto the desk.
I’m hoping for a pair of lightweight, simple glasses that—much like AirPods do for audio—provide a poster-sized display whenever you need the extra screen real estate. On the go they would be far more practical than tiny 7-inch smartphone screens. It’s a real shame they don’t exist yet, given that the technology has been feasible for ages; the VR hype got in the way.
